Mya a. Phillips

Mya A. Phillips is currently serving as assistant pastor under the training and tutelage of Rev. Dr. Daryn D. Crenshaw, Senior Pastor of Christ Community Church where she also serves as the Director of Outreach. Mya is a member of the Evangelist Street Team, Finance Team and COVER Prayer Ministry. She is a former Sunday School Teacher & past president of Pastoral Support Ministry. Mya acknowledged her call to preach on October 21, 2012. She preached her initial sermon on July 28, 2013 & was licensed to preach the Gospel. Mya was ordained as a minister on July 26, 2014. Mya presently teaches 3rd grade and has been teaching for 20 years. She is the Educational Director of Southeastern Wisconsin-United Sisters Nurturing Our World (SEW-USNOW). Mya considers her passion & patience to teach children as a gift from God and prays that she not only provides her students with an education, safety & stability but also a strong spiritual presence, a sense of hope, and a hunger for success toward a brighter future. Most recently, Mya became a published author. Her book is entitled, B.E.A.U.T.Y. and The Beholder: How God Sees You and is currently working on her second novel. Mya's motto is w8onGod!!! She considers herself Blessed and Highly Favored, because she is on the winning side with God as her guide in the battlefield of life!!!
